Christmas Season

The Christmas Holidays is finally here, the period that we spend time eating palatable dishes, the pineapple-glazed ham, steak, roast chicken, the tender-grilled beef, the mozzarella & cheddar cheese lasagna, the baked turkey, potato salad, rice & peas, the sorrel drink, a huge slice of the sweet/Christmas fruit cake and to top it all off, a bottle of Chardonnay champagne.

We all take the Christmas season to spend precious time with our families. To share, to love, to be passionate and to show compassion, to mingle and to express. WE ALL LOVE CHRISTMAS, a white Christmas especially when the snow falls from the heavenly sky and drop on our faces, or the cool weather we experience clothed in sweaters, hoodies and pullovers.

The season is to reminisce on the birth of Jesus Christmas hence the name Christmas and we all do that some time during the period; going to church on Christmas Eve, singing Christmas carols or even watching movies that elaborate on the purpose of the season. The colors of green, red or gold, maybe white are what is used to represent the season, bright and warm colors. Bright colors that conveys a joyful and exuberant atmosphere and the warm colors to show the time of sharing, caring and loving.

I am sure that we all drink during the season, a few Smirnoff Ice, a glass of Henessy, maybe H2O, Yellow Tail Champagne, Appleton, Stone on the Rock, Smirnoff Ice Lemon Vodka traced with coke. For the light and HIGHLY RESPONSIBLE drinkers we might choose a vita malt, a Malta, a beer or just a coke.

We all get a minimal privilege during Christmas and that we do favour. We buy our Christmas clothes, scarves, colgnes and perfumes, gold and silver watches and shoes.

I guess we all wait for the GOOD OLD SANTA CLAUS to bring our gifts, the ones we wished for...OR maybe u won't get any because ur on the naughty list LOL!!!!!.  We cant wait to get up  on Christmas morning to search underneath the tree for ur gifts, the one with ur name on the tag, the one that says to u...a merry christmas, we unwrap gifts in our bed slippers and for those of us that have siblings we boast on them.

As the morning gets better, we cant wait for the Christmas dinner. The Door bells are ringing and guests are entering, we welcome them and mingle. WE ALL PAUSE AT THE ALERT THAT DINNER IS READY!!!. We quickly make our way to the table, we take our chairs and sit. Mom says John we u pray. John smiles and says, God I thank u for this delicious meal, for my frens and family, thank you Lord and a chorously Amen. We dig in and pass the bowls of dishes around the table taking the proportion of our choice. We eat and drink, smile and talk, stuffing our gutts to our desire. When we are finished, we all depart from the table and to the living room and watch Christmas Movies. We laugh and watch together and in our minds we can't wait for New Years Day, another huge dinner and a time of enjoyment.

SUMMER - PARTIES, SCHOOL AND BOREDOM - Kay-a-le

LAX! IGLOO! BARCODE! Countless other parties! The hectic lifestyle of the average teenager consists of attending these social rendezvous. Soverign is the main staple, T.G.I.F the Mecca of the summer, and if not a party then a bar-b-que, or party...or party. Just remember to party safe, people.

Whoever did'nt go to NYC is up in Canada, maybe chilling in the Bahamas. I even got a connection up in Tokyo right now. And for those who managed to land some jobs, remember, hard work is teh key to success!

Summer School may be a haven for those who haven't got anything to do or anywhere to go during this coveted time of the year. And who can blame them - CXC is around the corner, anyway. Congrats to the succesful sitters of the past exam.

And speaking of exams - all hell breaks loose when reprt day comes around, for the time-wasters feel the heat when the parents warm their seats. Those who failed on purpose... you should know what you're about. Just remember failure is never an option, for we must all aim to succeed in life.

And for citizens like me who are basically barred from having a social life, do our hanging out on the facebook/messneger and are actually longing for that bright and sunny September morning, I sympathise with you and share in your absolute dread of seeing the walls of your house.

Tivoli locked down, the ghetto blocked down,

Wow, i never expected the day to come when anywhere in Jamaica -land of wood, water and firebombing- to come under siege. I guess C.C is really loved by all. And the way they blocked all the entrances - neat and fast; Something customer service in this country lacks. 

Supposed they bring down U.S forces? What then? Blow the place up to get to the man in question? Probably. We just gotta wait and see who gives way first.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A GRIZZLY BIG BOAR RIFLE IN MA LIFE. And what i hear about it makes me hope and pray someone never points that thing at me.
And when since did citizens become skilled in the art of firebombing? We do know how to expand our artillery. 

At least not everyone sells out in Jamaica - it's good to know that all the people who you helped and protected still pay respect and allegiance to you. That's an honor, for many others have far different stories. 

Will Bruce step in? Or will the PM leave his constituency to become war ravaged? Time will tell. 

 And by the way, all y'all tourists, thanks for teh support you still give to our country, for we are still a great nation - no matter the obstacles and turmoil we face. Btw, if you havn't seen the "Find Your Love" video with Mavado starring, you havn't seen a video. In a long, long time.

Graduation DAY, THE BEST DAY OF UR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever just sat and wondered off, day dreaming as it is called, seeing yourself at your graduation receiving that certificate of diploma of secondary education, seeing all the ones who doubted you angry and all you do is just smile and shake your head. The teachers who didn't encourage  but afflicted you about how will come out to nothing and when they have seen you in that blue or red gown with your hat, when your name is called for you to receive that certificate of diploma, they can't even look, they are so embarrassed, shame, to see you achieve, to see you in pursuit of your goal.

The day that the haters will have NOTHING to say, to GOSSIP about, nothing to criticize and discriminate about but to take their FLIGHT and SHUT the HELL UP!!!!!!!!!!!!. The day you will leave your true friends, the ones who cared,  but its just a shame that you guys have to separate and divert from that point on. The last day you'll see your secret admirer, your wondering if its the right time and moment to let them know the truth and if that is accepted i guess it will be topped off in style as a ice-cream sundae with a cherry with a kiss but if not,  the secret will never be revealed and you'll just have to keep it. 

This day of celebration that you will thank the encouraging and brilliant teachers who helped, assisted and pushed you to achieve this certificate, a valuable for your whole life. The day that hear the last word from your valedictorian and you throw your hats in the air, the day you shall step out of that building with dignity, pride, intelligence and brilliance. The day you will have flashbacks of each and every moment of your high school life, every second and minute spent. You just laugh because YOU HAVE MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!, THAT PROFESSION IS A QUINT OF THE EYE AWAY. "Oh, i will miss my good friends, this school and the good teachers".

THIS DAY SHALL BE THE MOST MEMORABLE DAY OF OUR LIVES, the best but might be the worst, it can be as horrible as the tsunami that hit India or as good as the day your received your first and very expensive valuable. We can just daydream as we haven't reached that stage or day yet but we just have to keep working hard and make every second, minute, hour and day count. WE CAN ALL DO IT BECAUSEWE ARE ALL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOST SOULS........ - KAY-A-LE

never took her seriously, girl suicidal,
grooming at the party, but she left, cuz it was bridal,
i was making waves that washed her off, they were tidal,
and she met her sad fate when she drank a couple vials,
how many days she pined, how many nights she cried,
when she needed to talk, she called, i never replied,
just to... get away from her, she asked for truth, i lied,
now im contemplating if i could ever get her revived....    KAY-A-LE

Just a thought..... we ignore the silent cries and pleas of our fellow mates....those with hurts, pains and groans. They cry out loudly and go unheard in the crowd....searching for peace, none to be found.... and loss of trust. 

Isnt it up to us to care and look out for one another? Guidance, advice and a shoulder to cry on are more and more necessary in today's world, and as teenagers we dont go about as joyfully as we like. 

The lines i wrote preceding the blog help to further elucidate what I cannot put in normal words. I sigh for the youth who kill themselves day by day.....and kill others, whether physically or emotionally, in the process. Teens with such tendencies tend to revert to a silent, and to me, frightening demeanor which becomes unpredictable as time goes by.......

If they dont kill themselves, they kill others....which may be a probably insignificant but still plausible reason why the death rate is 535+ in less than 120 days.....and as for that, well, GOD help this nation...

Twysted Tees Trash - Kay-a-le

I don't know if y'all been seeing these annoying people always putting up their pics and ads about the tywsted tees, but I for one am very disgusted. Sure, i know most young people just dote on sex and all that, but for those of us who don't, yeah, you get the picture. I mean, even if you got a sexual fetish, we don't gotta be bombarded all the times with all sorts of positions and slackness.

And then, have they no fear for GOD? How the hell can you place Jesus in an oral sex position?! If y'all ungodly. y'all can go to hell, that's fine. But don't trespass on the rights, beliefs and of others. And for the record, GOD DOES NOT, AND I REPEAT, DOES NOT HAVE AN INTEREST IN LESBIANISM.

I happened to get an invite from a designer for these cursed shirts, and i aint comfortable at all with what i saw. The dud was like - "I live with ma mom and grandma, twysted tees are my religion, i smoke weed and gunpowder together, i walk around  ma house naked with just a twysted tee on, i hate all religion, i love twysted tees more than ma gurl, etc...". No ambition whatsoever.

I've said it time and again, if those guys dont repent, God's gonna strike them soon. And i dont think we'll have to wait very long for that to happen.

Why do TEENAGERS perform or restrain from SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As teenagers, of course we have wants and needs and we are maturing everyday in physiques, attitude and behaviour. As teenagers we have a new attitude as our hormones are activated and we are inspired to the one thing we all desire, SEX!!!!!!!!. As teenagers we talk about this everyday and so some engage in this act. Is it that you just want to experience it?, whats the hurry, is it that your friends all perform this act and so you want to feel important so you do this too as in the movie 18 YEAR OLD VIRGIN. Is it that you are not loved at home and so when you do find that person and they insist that they love you, you perform this act with them because he/she says they love you. Is it that you think your just too ugly and so when someone tells you that your pretty as the girl in MADEA'S I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF, you offer yourself as a gift because, "Oh everyone says i am ugly and this person says i am pretty", are you an idiot, a fool, to offer yourself to that trick, that person knows you, they know what you will do and so they just say that but i guess you got trapped, you got tricked, you just gave away that feeling of unity, a connection, a moment in your life that will always be memorable as the day you broke your celibacy. 

Is it that you and  your partner were kissing and apparently it led to it but what happens if something went wrong, if you or your girlfriend got impregnated, are you ready to become a father or mother, can you provide financially for this child, do you possess the characteristics of good parenthood, but i guess that's why Family Life Programs were established.

Some teenagers however, restrain from sex as they know the possible outcomes of possessing or being contracted with sexual diseases or having the fatal HIV AIDS. Teenagers who restrain to preserve that moment, that connection, that feeling is  because they have a goal, an objective, an aim and until that aim is attained then lucidly they will engage when it is accomplished or base on their religious principles. Some may restrain as they are not physically or mentally prepared to commit this act, this decision, this giving or losing of his/her virginity, this common practice of teenagers as in the movie YOUTH IN REVOLT.

 

Teenagers who perform this act should be defensive, be conservative, protect yourself from being invaded by the diseases inherited from sexual intercourse.

If you juxtapose those that perform it with those who restrain , you will see that those that commit this act or likely to endanger themselves if naive. Teenagers who restrain, good job!!!!!!!!!!!!, secure it for that special person, that special person for that special moment in your life, let it be one to remember and not to regret. If your forced, resist, if your intimidated, don't follow, your a head and not a tail, you do your own thing, you be different, don't care about what they do, say or act towards you, you let them know that you are different and so save it for the right person as it the right time.

Supernatural Stories of Duppies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   Duppies, ghosts, demons, zombies whatever we call it, i believe it is present with us and are with us daily. It is said that a young child can see these creatures and i believe its true. As a young child once, i usually saw these things running across the ceiling, i always warned and showed my mom but she didn't see it, oh, i guess that ghosts/duppy was smiling and laughing at me.

Have you ever been walking or frolicking late at night, you feel cobwebs in your face, your head begins to swell, you feel a heat upon you, you feel the presence of someone near you, guys it was a duppy/ghost.

FUNERALS: WHY DO WE HATE FUNERALS?

People at times reported that when at funeral and when they walk, it is as if its a wave, the duppies are walking and they feel dizzy, its like they are controlling us.

PLEASE DO NOT TRY THESE ORAL TRADITIONS AT FUNERAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you wash your face with rice water, it is said that all the duppies present in the area will be visible to you but what happens if they see you, they will haunt you forever.

If you bend over and look between you legs, there you will see the ghosts with its legs folded on the coffin but if you get catch you will remain in that position for the rest of your life!!!!!!!!!

Do you think that the deceased is in its coffin at a funeral?  No, it is sitting on its cofffin laughing at you guys mourning your hearts out.

The duppy is always in the tallest try at a funeral looking down at us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NB: Why do you think they started to concrete up the graves of the dead?

it was said that after the deceased  was burried that after three days, you could have heard the coffin bursting and hear the duppy coming up, rising out to come and do its work.

Do not ever walk beside a hearse because if you do, the ghost will knock you down unconscious or it might be fatal.

Scary News: There was a funeral, when the service was over, this happened at the country, they burried family members at the family plot, it was said that when the hearse was going up to the plot, the duppy did not want to bury at there, it was astonishing, weird, scary, the duppy turned the hearse across the road preventing the driver from carrying it to the grave side. The crowd stopped, the driver surprised stepped out of the vehicle, after about five minutes, he stepped back in the vehicle and continued until he reached the grave side and they burried it but we know that the duppy will be roaming, raping and killing.

Have you ever been sleeping and you feel someone choking you, strangling you, it was a duppy, you just need to call up on the lord and repeat the 23rd Psalm, lol!!!!!!!!!!. have you ever woke up with bruises you never saw before you went to bed, a duppy whipped you while sleeping, what did you do, you don't know but i am sure it was a whipping.

THE FAMOUS ROLLING CALF

Have you ever heard big heavy chains drawing on the road, its the rolling calf passing. It is said that this is a butcher  that died, he slaughtered cows, pigs, goat but he chose to become a cow. If you see a red eyed object in the dark, with steaming vapouring off this object, it stares right in your face, it runs continuously across the road and moves very  fast, you see it sometimes in the hills, you hear the chains drawing, please don't throw a stone, the rolling calf will buck you and trust me you will be hurt and injured.

A Teenager's life

Chapter One

Have you ever sat and ruminate/meditate about life, what it has in store for you, the possibilities of you living to see yourself achieve, you having that professional occupation in that particular career field, of you being married and how spontaneous your wedding would be, if you want a hommah limo or the butterfly doors limo to chauffeur you at your wedding, if you want to get married on this enchanted island by the shore under a canopy. Have you ever imagined how you would look in the future, if you'll be handsome, pretty or ugly in a position like UGLY BETTY? Have you ever thought of what you would be like in the future, the car you'll drive, that exquisite house you'll own, your vacations on those luxurious and lush islands, if you'll ever have your own jet?
Of course all of these are rhetorical questions but i guess you’re in a funny position trying to think about and respond to the questions asked above. We teenagers view life as a chance of enjoyment, a time of relaxation, of exploring, being adventurous, forgetting about life but yet life has its complications and challenges ahead. As teenagers in the adolescence stage of life, we wonder how we look, how we smell, walk, talk and live. "Oh, does my hair look good, is my face too dry, can I borrow you eyelash brush, can I borrow your shoe brush, does my uniform look too big, is my pants too big, is my face too bumpy or oily. Have you ever stop asking these questions and realize that whatever you do, you will not please everyone. People will always have faults and will always say.
Teenagers at times are often faced with discrimination, yeah i know at times it’s quite embarrassing and humiliating but yet it can be uplifting, encouraging, a stage or process that you will see your true potential, your ability but if you try to prove a point to everyone then the CRAZIES was made just for you. Don't try to please everyone, try to please yourself, make yourself happy, smile, enjoy life as it comes with disappointments but also with some appointments and its quite lucid that if the world does not turn out like 2012 then we will be happy in the end like the BOOK OF ELI, we will be victorious, successful and exceptional in whatever we do. Teenagers are on a verge for the search of identity, a place, a status, a position in how you feel important and if your important, does your opinions matter or if your remembered, yes you are, you are always important and remembered by your true friends and families, a friend that stick with you through thick and thin but also remember that your best friend can be your worst enemy. View life as a road that has a lot of curves, bends and narrow paths but whatever happen just SMILe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
